Vitamin B1 Hydrochloride
C12H17ClN4OS-HCl Formula weight 337.27
CAS 67-03-8DESCRIPTION
Thiamine Hydrochloride occurs as small, white to yellow-white crystals or crystalline powder. When exposed to air, the anhydrous product rapidly absorbs about 4% of water. It melts at about 248C with some decomposition. One-gram dissolves in about 1 mL of water and in about 100 mL of alcohol. It is soluble in glycerin and is insoluble in ether.
Function: Nutrient.Identification
