ldentification of Vit A - (A, B & C):
A. Liqht Absorption: It exhibits a maxima at 325 to 327 nm.
B. TLC: The principal spot or spots with test solution should correspond to reference solution.
C. Spot Test: A transient bright blue colour should be produced immediately.
ldentification for BHA & BHT- By TLC: The spots obtained with test solution should correspond to reference solution with respect to Rf value & colour.
Acid value: Not more than 2.0
Peroxide value: Not more than 10.0
Peroxides: The colour produced by sample solution after 5 minute is not more intense than that of standard solution.
Relative density: 0.92
Melting point: 28.5C literature.
